Dear Tuesday,

I hated this morning. I was stressed. I realized that I’m way too good at procrastinating and procrastination is not my friend. I got up and went to class anyway.

I realized that it’s going to be a long night, but after popping in to get a chai…. something wonderful happened…..

The first real snowfall hit. <3

I may have a rough night, but at least it’s officially winter!

Monday storm

It’s storming here, which is kind of nice.

I was starting to get really stressed out about this week, but then I got back to my room and just sat in the dark and watched the storm.

That is one of the most relaxing things to do.

All it takes is a little perspective to realize that things are definitely not as bad as they may seem.

So just breathe and listen to the rain fall.

What do you do…

… when you’re feeling under the weather?

I pop in a favorite movie, make some tea, and climb under the covers.

I’m currently watching Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

Hermione: “Stop, stop, stop! You’re going to take someone’s eye out. Besides, you’re saying it wrong. It’s LeviOsa, not LeviosAR!”

Have a good Wednesday evening!

Sometimes things fall through. Plans change. Life happens. Confusion and disappointment.

Sometimes you’re left in pieces and the only thing you can do is watch your step and carefully clean up the mess.

Then you breathe. You find that pattern, it becomes easier. Just focus on that pattern. Keep going, keep running.

It’s like a rainy day, cold and dreary.

Look through the window. See past the drizzle, there’s beauty out there.

It’s raining here, if you can’t tell by the title.

It’s that beginning of fall cold, chilly rain that makes you want to snuggle up under blankets with tea and watch your favorite movie.

Yesterday, I sort of did that… except I cleaned my room, organized my clothes (color coordinated closet #finally), drank tea, and watched Practical Magic.

How are is your rainy (or not so rainy) day?

Hopefully I’ll do my A&A later tonight. I am meeting a friend for dinner, then roommate agreements, then studying bio for my first quiz tomorrow!

For now, I’ll leave you with something I cannot wait to do..

Hang with little man this October when I go home!

Actually on time.

Oh look, Thursday is here again.

That means Friday is tomorrow! No school Monday!

The above picture my sister happened to capture this summer as we were trying to do an outfit post…

Me, TRYING to eat a burrito. (I look like I’m feeding my shirt.)

Falling asleep in class and knocking your papers all over the ground.

Trying to find a conversation partner through my school’s classifieds website… how do people do online dating?!

When people avoid eye contact with me as they pass me, and I’m waving to them..

Burning myself twice in a day.

How everyone on staff thinks I’m weird, because I drink so much coffee and I am impatiently waiting for my Sbux gold card to get here.

The way I now talk, with words like supa, totes, awk. See below and the Harvard Sailing Team videos.

I went to the Spanish conversation table today and forgot how to introduce myself, or say anything. Can you say rusty?

How every time I type awesome, I say it like the 3rd grade cheer.

I get to see my family MONDAY!

Coffee, without a doubt.

My professors, they’re all interesting and supa nice.

Not being on duty all week/end

Can I say coffee again? What about pumpkin spice?

The weather here. & the fall is right around the corner.

Free tshirts.

Working out, finally.

Rainy Sundays

As much as I want summer weather: sunshine and warmth, I love a good rainy day every now and again. It rained on and off today, and I love working when it rains. I always hope for the power to go out. Probably leftover dreams from elementary school power outages. I also love summer night rains. It cools everything down and creates a sense of peace. The best environment to clear your head and really think about things. I’m grateful for these nights and the midwest weather. Not everyone likes it, I don’t even like it always, but it’s nights like this one that remind me how thankful I am to grow up here.
