Wishful thinking

Today I was looking at Christmas lists on blogs. While I do have some items I wouldn’t mind having, there’s one thing I would want more.

Break time with family and friends.

Thanksgiving break was a little teaser. I only got to see one of the bests for a few short hours. I would love to be drinking hot cocoa and watching a christmas movie marathon with those two right now.

Or hanging out with my family, doing something fun or just relaxing at home.

Can’t wait for break!

P.S. Check out one of the bests’ new blog:The Little Things!

All you need is love.

“What are you living for?” someone asked me in a conversation the other night.

They wanted to know what I’m looking forward to in life, what am I working towards.

I drew a blank.

I don’t really have a life goal or plan. I can’t decide what I want to be, do, see, live. I didn’t know how to respond.

In the back of my mind, though, something poked through. It was trying to catch my attention. . .

Family.

I would put my family in front of everything. They would support me in everything I do.

What is most important to me? –family, always. I love the one I have now and can’t wait to have a family of my own in the future.

So the recent visits from my mom, sister, nephew, and best friend brought me back down to earth just when I needed it.

I’m late, for a very important date.

Awkward

Realizing how hard it would be to eat with a mustache.

The fact that I had to google mustache, because I had always spelled it moustache (the British way, apparently).

Being looped up on drugs from getting my wisdom teeth out.

My nephew thinking it’s funny to poke my swollen cheek, which in turn bled.

Quitting your job properly, with a resignation letter, but half of your managers still not knowing about it.

Being made fun of for loving Disney channel. What can I say, I’m a six year old at heart?

Trying to change your whole life plan & next semester schedule.

My face swelling to twice its normal size, silly teeth of knowledge.

Awesome

Girls nights, where we do ridiculous things like take the above picture.

Coffee with good friends, & being able to talk about our religious differences openly and without judgment.

The above mentioned talk sparking my interest, so that I signed up for an Intro to Religion class next semester.

Talking about college with the girls that are coming up next fall & helping them plan things out. So excited for them!

Last days of work!!!

Finishing People of the Book, it was a nice read. I recommend it.

One of the bests bringing me six flavors of ice cream, popsicles, jello, and juice. & then staying with me and watching The Pagemaster.

The fact that I’m no longer a premed/predent/science student.

*I am terrified and excited at the new possibilities all at the same time!

Alivia changed her blog name to  Brunch in April, & I am very excited for her!

Party time.

My neighborhood celebrated Independence Day on the 3rd of July.
My family also celebrated little man’s 3rd birthday.

I hope everyone’s holiday weekend was as smashing as mine!

1. Flowers I bought. 2. Fresh grapes and berries. 3. Little man with his bug catching party gifts.

4. His bulldozer cake. 5. Mini cupcakes. 6. Bug cupcakes.

7. New racetrack! 8. Bests at the fireworks. 9. The lake.

Can you believe summer is halfway over?!

Friends, amusement parks, and good eats

This weekend my friend from school came to visit. She lives 3 hours away, so I appreciated her making the trek! We had a good time with her enjoying some of the Cincy food. We also went to Kings Island with this girl. We rocked the fanny packs and enjoyed the cooler weather. After our day we swung by Five Guys. I love the Jr cheeseburger with “everything except mustard.” Their fries are also fantastic!

Needless to say, it was a good day.

P.S.    Happy Father’s Day to all those papas out there! We enjoyed a lovely dinner in my household.  && A father appreciation post to come soon!
